Představujeme vám další blok konference Talent City 2022, který zajišťuje Moravskoslezské inovační centrum. Jedná se o blok Talent a podnikavost v rámci kterého budou představeny zajímavé projekty v oblasti start-upů a v rámci panelových diskuzí se bude hovořit o různých tématech, např. o talent attraction managementu. About

The Global StartupCities Initiative was launched in 2018 with the aim of interconnecting innovation ecosystems outside the big hubs for accelerating new economic opportunities through the matchmaking between startups, investors, and corporates in Europe. StartupCities are the new innovation ecosystems, person-centred approach, based on entrepreneurs & innovators as our key economic boosters. Since 2020, the initiative scaled-up for global level with the bottom-up European innovation Area as the umbrella and connector for boosting these new European business opportunities for any European entrepreneur in any continent.

ARTURO VILLAR
Global Innovation, Founder & Coordinator of Global StartupCities initiative – Arturo is a passionate open innovation entrepreneur. During the last 15 years, Arturo has been working in management of global innovation for the industrial sector with senior competencies on open Innovation, co-creation, and to reuse and identify synergies from other sectors for implementing new innovative solutions. Arturo is a key supporter of the European Innovation Council, expert evaluator of European Commission, PhD on Energy Engineering, and JCR reviewer of scientific publications on clean technologies and environmental issues.

LUIS RODRIGUES
Director of Startup Braga (it is a business incubator and accelerator within the Braga municipal company InvestBraga – Agency for Economic Development). He graduated in Communication Sciences from the University of Minho, Luís Rodrigues was involved in the creation of Liftoff – Entrepreneur’s Office of the Academic Association of the University of Minho. Luís Rodrigues was president of the Academic Association between 2010 and 2012. Between 2013 and 2017, he joined the Dean’s Support Services, having coordinated the Development Office. As a director of Startup Braga Luis aims at promoting  a new incubation program, offering start-ups and scale-ups access to a vast network of mentors and specialists from different industries, as well as training to help new businesses grow. His vision is to strenghten the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Braga, “attracting more companies and capital and reinforcing Startup Braga in international networks”, in order to offer the startups incubated here “more global markets”.

TOMÁŠ AVRAT
Tomáš Avrat has been involved in branding, marketing and communication for more than 25 years. He has worked in international corporations, Czech companies and advertising agencies. He has experience in creating and developing brands for products (personal care, beer), services (education, IT, automotive). In 2006, he was a finalist in the Marketer of the Year competition (Czech Marketing Association), and he has contributed to the book Strategic Brand Management – Case Studies (2006, Professional Publishing).  In the last 8 years he has been primarily involved in developing the reputation of places (city, region, destination) and clusters, talent attraction management. He is now working with the national agency CzechInvest, the Central Bohemian Innovation Centre and the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre.

ONDŘEJ DOSTÁL
Socio-economic geographer and head of strategic planning unit in the City of Ostrava. I am a fan of cities development, urban way of life and the complexity of how cities work. I am sure that Ostrava is undoubtedly a quality place to live. That is why I enjoy branding and marketing of cities and the topic of attracting talents. I am involved in making Ostrava a city for people, where their new stories begin.

MORTEN KING-GRUBERT – director of Talent and Business
After successfully leveraging a background in international business, particularly related to the globalisation and export activities of Danish enterprises, Morten’s efforts and expertise today primarily focus on the international marketing and branding of cities, regions and countries as a study and career destination for international talents.
Morten is one of the original architects behind Copenhagen Capacity’s talent attraction and retention programmes with a core focus of aligning foreign direct investments with talent attraction and retention as well as the development of their ambassador corps activities.
Prior to joining Future Place Leadership he among others took a Denmark based startup from the living room to 5 million euro in annual revenue. He also dedicates his time and passion to leadership, cultural diversity en entrepreneurship as part of the university faculty of DIS – Study Abroad.
